Introductory Benefits

The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is 0% for the first 15 months of card ownership. The 0% Annual Percentage Rate (APR) also applies to balance transfers for the first 15 months of card ownership.

Reward Points

Charge cardholders earn 2 times the ThankYou points for all Dining and Entertainment expenses charged on the ThankYou Preferred card. However, for the purposes of this card’s rewards, entertainment purchases include concerts, movie, shows and even amusement parks, among other activities.

All other purchases earn 1 ThankYou point. Note: ThankYou points that have been earned will never expire, and the amount of ThankYou points one can earn is unlimited.

Annual Percentage Rate

After the intro period of 15 months, the APR will become a variable rate between 14.74% and 24.74%; depending upon the creditworthiness of the individual cardholder. The Cash Advance APR is a variable 26.49% while the Penalty APR is up to 29.99%.

Annual Fee

There is no annual fee for the Citi ThankYou Preferred credit card.

American Express’ Blue Cash Preferred Card

Introductory Benefits

The Blue Cash Preferred credit card offers a 0% Annual Percentage Rate for the first 12 months of ownership. Additionally, the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express is currently offering a “sign-up bonus” – a $200 statement credit – when a cardholder charges a minimum of $1,000 within the first 3 months of ownership.
